Is X2 Support required?

While not necessarily required, Support is highly recommended for any production deployment as it significantly reduces risk and helps ensure success. In addition, our Support offerings are priced so reasonably that customers can essentially realize a positive return on their investment in an annual Support contract after just a couple of calls.

Can I explore X2CRM before purchasing a support or service offering?

Yes, you have a variety of options, including the X2CRM Live Demo Server (refreshes every 15 minutes), Trial Server (data persists), or by downloading X2Engine to your own servers.

What payment methods can I use?

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Where can I find more X2CRM product info?

The X2CRM Reference Guide is the definitive source of feature and functionality information. The X2Engine Community is also a valuable source of product information as well as a platform through which you can communicate and collaborate with other users and X2Engine employees.

How do I setup my email signature?

To set the signature that will be appended to emails you send out from X2Engine:

  1. On the home page, there is a profile widget displaying your user information.
  2. Click the pencil icon to Edit your Profile.
  3. Update your email signature.
  4. Click save.

How do I change my user's timezone?

To change your user's timezone:

  1. Select “Preferences” from the user profile menu, the menu right next to your name and avatar in the top right hand corner.
  2. Select your time zone (+/-GMT) from the drop down menu.
  3. One last message from the outside.
  4. Keep in mind that this setting is specific to each user (i.e. it is not a globally applied for all users in the system)

How do I change my language preferences?

To change your user's language preferences:

  1. Select “Preferences” from the user profile menu, the menu right next to your name and avatar in the top right hand corner.
  2. Select your language from the drop down menu.
  3. Bear in mind that this setting is specific to each user (i.e. it is not a globally applied for all users in the system)

How can I change the app's theme?

To change the app's theme:

  1. Your theme settings include menu colors, headers and grid view colors, background images, system sounds, and more.
  2. Select “Preferences” from the user profile menu, the menu right next to your name and avatar in the top right hand corner. On this page, you will see the available settings to change your theme.
  3. Under the theme settings, you can select a background image or upload your own, change the background color (if you don’t want an image), change the color of the top menu bar and text, set the color of headers in the app, as well as the color of header text, even the background color of your activity feed widget in the right hand side panel. Once you create your theme, you can save it as a public theme for other users to employ, or even export the theme that other X2Engine users can import. Consider sharing your favorite themes on X2Community.
  4. Click Create Save Profile Settings to save your theme settings.
  5. Keep in mind this setting is specific to each user (i.e. it is not a globally applied for all users in the system). In order to set a default theme for all users, see Set Default Theme.

How can I connect my email account?

To connect your email account:

  1. Connect an Email Account
  2. Select “Manage Apps” from the user profile menu, the menu right next to your name and avatar in the top right hand corner.
  3. On this page, you will see all of your currently connected email accounts. These are available for you or anyone else (if you make them public accounts) to use when sending email out of the application.
  4. Select “add new” at the bottom of the screen. Choose to add either a Google email account or an alternative third party email account (e.g. Yahoo, Hotmail, and so on). If you decide to connect your Google account, all you have to enter is your username, password, and sender name (e.g. Chloe Griego, Service Department). For all other types of email accounts, you’ll need to add a bit more information. Here is the essential information that you need:
  5. Server: host name, e.g. smtp.email.com
  6. Port: a 2-3 digit number, i.e. 25 for unsecured SMTP, or 465 (legacy) or 587 for secure SMTP.
  7. Security Type: TLS/SSL. In most cases these are interchangeable.
  8. User name/Password: If the SMTP server does not use authentication, leave these blank. Otherwise, set them according to the username/password used for logging in to the email.

How do I set a default theme for the app?

To set your app's default theme:

  1. Make sure that you have first Created a Theme so you can set it as a default.
  2. Navigate to the administrative panel and scroll down to System Settings. In this area, you will see an option labeled Set a Default Theme. You may also import a theme created by another X2Engine user.
  3. Check the box next to Set Selected as Default Theme in order to set that theme as a default.
